There are a number of eateries in Alnmouth itself which will need to be booked in advance for some evening meals during high season. The Red Lion is well worth a visit for local fayre and a great welcome from Jane and Mac McHugh. It is very child friendly and has a large garden to the rear with views out to the Estuary. They are open seven days a week serving food all day up to 9pm Monday to Saturday and they’re open all day Sunday until 8pm. The Sun Inn is a fantastic pub in Alnmouth famed for a very warm welcome, great beers and lovely food. Mel and Bren are very helpful and always on hand to answer any questions about the Village and the area, both being locals in Alnmouth and know everything that's going on!
