There are a number of eateries in Alnmouth itself which will need to be booked in advance for some evening meals during high season. The Red Lion is well worth a visit for local fayre and a great welcome from Jane and Mac McHugh. It is very child friendly and has a large garden to the rear with views out to the Estuary. They are open seven days a week serving food all day up to 9pm Monday to Saturday and they’re open all day Sunday until 8pm. Bistro 23 is a fully licensed restaurant, situated at 23 Northumberland Street, Alnmouth. A tea rooms through the day, and on Wednesday and Saturday evenings it becomes a lively Bistro.
